2021 Preview: The Lions return 14 players, including 4 GAPPS All State players, from their 10-0 State Champion team from 2020. The entire coaching staff is returning in 2021 as well.

Caleb and Eli Thompson return in the backfield for the Lions. They combined for 77 carries for 911 yards and 21 TDs in ’20. They also return their leading WR from last season in Samuel Mumpower who had 6 TDs on 21 catches.

The Lions return a lot on defense from the 2020 team that only allowed 7 points per game including 3 shutouts. Eli and Caleb Thompson return as well as Jessie Smith and Bailey Mohler. They combined 252 tackles in 2020 with 30 TFL, with Mohler coming up with 13 of those.

NwGaTake: The Lions should make another run at the State Title in 2021. The biggest thing this off season will be finding a replacement for QB Drew King who will graduate this Spring. King accounted for 1600 yards offense and 26 of the Lions TDs in 2020.
