This Week
#6 Cedartown at Ridgeland: The battle for the top spot in 7AAAA. Ridgeland player their best game of the season last game out and will need to kick it up a notch if they want to upset the Bulldogs.
NwGaFootball Keys to the Game: Cedartown: Continue to run the ball well. CJ Washington had his best game of the season last week at Northwest Whitfield and sophomore Harlem Diamond has added a spark to the Bulldog offense the last few weeks.
Ridgeland: Needs big plays on both sides of the ball. SR RB Jeremiah Turner had over 200 yards rushing to go along with a handful of tackles and an INT against Heritage in their win 2 weeks ago. The Panthers will also need to play a mistake free game and limit penalties or this game could get out of hand quick.
Calprep Prediction: Cedartown 35 Ridgeland 7
Northwest Whitfield at Heritage: Northwest has dropped two games in a row after opening the season 4-0. Heritage’s win last week stopped a 3 game skid after they opened 2020 3-0.
Northwest is in a desperate need for a win. A loss here would put them in a must win situation the final 2 weeks of the season.
NwGaFootball Keys to the Game: Northwest Whitfield: Young guys on defense have to step up. Several key players on defense were missing or banged up last week and yet to be seen what their status is for Friday. During the Bruins 4-0 start the defense gave up 43 total points. The last 2 games they have yielded 49 points per game.
Heritage: Get pressure on the QB. Bruins sophomore QB Owen Brooker is one of the best YPG passers in NWGA and with time he can hurt you. Stay healthy…the Generals had a lot of key players banged up last week.
Calpreps Prediction: Heritage 28 NW Whitfield 23
