This Group of 10 Teams was hit hard with the graduating 2022 Class. Several spots will be up for grabs this Spring and Summer.

Adairsville Tigers: The Tigers will have to replace leading rusher Eli Agnew in 2022. All Region Chris Roper returns for his Senior season and was 2nd on the team last year with 539 yds and averaged 8,3 yards a carry with 7 TDs. Roper is a legit 1000 yard candidate in 2022.

Bowdon Red Devils: The Devils are in great shape in the backfield heading into 2022. They return their top 2 rushers off their 6A Region Title squad. Rising Sophomore Luke Windom (1034 yds 9 TDs) and Senior QB Robert McNeal (749 yds 11 TDs) are both back for Bowdon as they look to make a run at the Single A D2 Title.

Cass Colonels: Rising Junior Devin Henderson was not only the Colonels leading passer in ’21 but he was also their leading rusher with over 800 yds on the ground. I look for 5’10 195 2nd Team All Region Senior Fredi Gbadie to have a good season in ’22 from the RB spot.

Darlington Tigers: The Tigers will have to find a replacement for 1000 yard rusher Caleb Thompson. His brother Eli Thompson is a Rising Senior and we are not sure if he will step into that role or not. We look forward to seeing who emerges this Spring and Summer at the RB spot.

Fannin Co Rebels: The Fannin County version of the Rebels have big shoes to fill in 2022. Their leading rusher Seth Reece is off to Army. He was one of the top 5 rushers in all of NWGA in ’21 with over 1200 yards. Fannin Co is another school we will be watching close this preseaon to see who emergies as the go to RB next season.

Haralson Co Rebels: Talk about big shoes to fill. The Haralson Co Rebels look to replace Clay Hyatt in 2022. Hyatt was one of the top rushing QBs in all of Georgia over the last 3 seasons. Their 2nd leading rusher Wesley Cole also graduates this Spring. It looks like the next man up is 5’11 185 Rising Senior Caden Hughes who had 337 yards and 2 TDs in ’21.

Heard Co Braves: The Braves lose their leading rusher in Isaiah Oneal. Rising Junior Antwon Carter (6’0 200) is slated to take over the role next season. He totaled 498 yards and averaged close to 10 yards a carry in ’21.

North Murray Mountaineers: QB Seth Griffin is always a threat to run for the Mountaineers. North Murray will be looking for a RB to compliment him in the backfield this season as their #1 guy from ’21 Ethan Dempsey graduates this Spring. Look for Judson Petty and Logan Gray to get some carries this Spring.

NW Whitfield Bruins: QB Owen Brooker is back for his Senior season with the Bruins. He gets it done with his arm and his feet leading NW in rushing last season with 624 yards on 115 carrries with 11 rushing TDs. Rising Sophomore Cameron Collins will share the load. He had 332 on 80 carries his Freshman season.

Trion Bulldogs: The Bulldogs have to replace the leading regular season rusher in Georgia, Rob Brown. The graduating Senior is on his way to Kennesaw State to continue his career. Trion has a very capable replacement in 6’0 195 Rising Senior Logan Eller who had 583 yards with 7 TDs in ’21. He very well could put up Brown like numbers in 2022.
