We have divided our teams into 5 easy to follow sections for 2022.
Below is the QB Preview for the upcoming 2022 Season.
These teams will be looking to replace their starter this Spring and Summer: Darlington, Fannin Co, Haralson Co, and Heard Co.
This group of 6 returners maybe the best QBs of any of the 5 Sections. Several POY candidates along with one of the top returning freshaman QBs in NWGA in ’21.

Bowdon Red Devils: Robert McNeal (Senior) 1961 pasing/ 749 rushing 31 total TDs with 3 ints in 156 attempts. The 2x 6A OPY is back for his Senior Season. McNeal has the athletic ability to play at the next level and I’m looking forward to seeing what numbers he puts up in 2022. Had 5 200+ passing games in 2021 with a season high 4 TDs vs Bremen.

Trion Bulldogs: Kade Smith (Sophomore): 785 passing/ -25 rushing 7 TDs with 2 Ints in 86 attempts. Smith took over the starting role 3 weeks into the season and helped Trion addvance to the 2nd round of the playoffs. Strong arm, good decision maker. Had a season high 212 yards at BEST going 13 of 18 with a TD in a 38-6 win.

Cass Colonels: Devin Henderson (Junior): 1562 passing/ 855 rushing with 25 TDs. The rising Junior is one of the top dual threat QBs in NWGA as well as one of the top prospects at DB. Helped lead the Colonels to their 1st playoff game in 15 years.

Adairsville Tigers: Jonathan Gough (Junior): 1244 passing/ 283 rushing accounted for 16 Tds with 8 ints in 165 attempts. Gough did real well in his first season starting for the Tigers leading them to a 8-3 record. Has good size at 6’2 205. Had a season high 213 yards with 3 Tds in a 21-14 win over Sonoraville.

North Murray Mountaineers: Seth Griffin (Senior) 6AAA Player of The Year throwing for 2883 yards, rushed for 319 and totaled 32 TDs. The 6’3 195 rising senior should be on college radars this Spring and Summer. North Murray moves into AA next season and returns their 2 top WR. Look for Griffin to keep putting up big numbers in 2022.

NW Whitfield Bruins: Owen Brooker (Senior) The rising Senior threw for 2902 yards , rushed for 624 yards and accounted for 36 total TDs leading the Bruins to the 2nd Round of the playoffs in back to back years for the 1st time in school history. He threw for a season high 382 with 4 TDs in a 49-21 win over Ridgeland.
