2021 Outlook: The Eagles return a core of experience in 2021 including the odds on favorite for Lineman of The Year, 6’3.5 288 OL Garrett Gordon. The question mark for Mt. Zion in ’21 is going to be the offensive backfield. They are having to replace their QB and most of their production at RB. Heading into the off season next year looks like it may be RB by committee. Rising Sophomore Sharrod Montgomery , rising senior Ethan Lepard and juniors Jasiah North, Preston Denny and Sidney Baker will be competing this Spring and Summer.

Rising Sophomore Stanley Cross is slated to compete to takeover the QB spot for the Eagles in 2021. Whoever is the starting QB will have returning All Region senior WR Christian Terrell (6’3 165) and 5’11 195 TE Dylan Roulaine returning.

NwGaFootball Take: Tough task anytime you have to replace your whole offensive backfield. The Eagles have a solid core of players returning in 2021, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Roulaine, Lepard, and and Junior Aiden Spradlin return at the LB spot and combined with a solid DL and experienced secondary the defense can keep them in games and give the offense time to gel in 2021.
