Team and individual performances that caught our eye this past week in NWGA.

Individuals

Dante Tidwell (North Murray): The senior RB/DB had 5 TDs and an INT in the Mountaineers win over rival Murray Co.

Mason Parker (Ringgold): The junior QB accounted for 235 yards and 3 TDs for the Tigers in their Saturday win over Coahulla Creek.

JJ House (Armuchee): 8 catches for 147 yards and 2 TDs vs Trion

Robert McNeal (Bowdon): The sophomore QB accounted 314 total yards and 3 TDs in the Red Devils win over rival Mt. Zion.

Rob Brown (Trion): The junior RB had 16 carries for 214 yds and 4 TDs in Fridays win over Armuchee.

Seth Reece (Fannin Co): The junior RB scored 3 TDs, all in the 3rd Q, in a 37-7 win at Chattooga.

Christian Lewis (Calhoun): The Yellow Jacket junior QB had 3 TDs all in the 1st half vs region foe Cass.

Jerrian Hames (Calhoun): The senior eclipsed the 1000 yard mark for the 2nd consecutive season. He had 14 carries for 165 and 2 TDs Friday vs Cass, all in the 1st half.

Reece Fountain (Rome) : The freshman signal caller for the Wolves was 16-23 for 233 and 3 TDs in a win over Alexander.

Jaxon Thomas (Coosa): The senior RB/LB had 20 carries for 105 yards TD and 10+ tackles in win over Dade Co.

Billy Settlemoir (Coosa): Scored 2 TDs and had several key sacks for the Eagles.

Teams:

Rockmart Yellow Jackets: The Yellow Jackets are poised to win their 4th Region Title in a row after their 45-7 win over Adairsville.

Fannin Co Rebels: The Rebels 37-7 win over Chattooga puts them a win over Coosa or Dade away from the 7AA Title.

Bremen Blue Devils: Scored with 6 seconds left and converted the 2 point conversion to beat Temple 15-14 in the highly contested 5AA race.

Sonoraville Phoenix: Slow start to 2020 for the Phoenix but they played the spoiler Friday night in a big comeback win over LaFayette. Potentially knocking the Ramblers from the playoffs.

Pickens Dragons: After a 2 week Covid layoff the Dragons beat Ridgeland 27-18 to keep their 7AAAA playoff hopes alive.
