Friday Night Standouts

Week 4

Ethan Blome RB (Adairsville): The Junior had 28 attempts for 280 yards with 3 TDs and added 5 TT on defense in a 29-12 win over Cass.

Jonaz Walton RB (Central): The Freshman Lion RB had 295 yards rushing in a 61-40 win over McIntosh. UGA and Vandy have extended offers in the past week.

Kace Kinnamon QB (Coahulla Creek): Totaled 300 yards offense and 2 TDs in the Colts 35-0 win over Chattooga.

Evan Koger RB (Dade County): Had 21 attempts for 211 yards and 2 TDs in a 27-0 win at Marion Co, TN .

Zeke Wheeler/ Landon William/Levi Raines (Dade Co) Combined for 20.5 TT with 7 TFLs and 2 sacks in the shutout win.

North Murray v NW Whitfield

NW Whitfield QB Owen Brooker had 275 yards total offense and WR Hudson Gray had 100 yards receiving .

North Murray’s Senior QB Seth Griffin accounted for 270 yards with JR Judson Petty having 125 yards receiving and Jadyn Rice adding 103.

Special shout out to Rome Junior QB Reece Fountain who came up clutch with a 22 yard TD pass to Will Bray in the closing minute to beat Pebblebrook 30-28

Offense of The Week

Rockmart Yellow Jackets: The Jackets put up 63 points with Junior QB JD Davis putting 190 yards with 3 TDs and SR RB JoJo Haynes adding 224 yards with 2 TDs.

Defense of The Week

Cedartown Bulldogs: The Bulldogs held the #5 AAAAA Calhoun Yellow Jackets to just 7 points in a 21-7 win on the road.

Upset of the Week

Bowdon Red Devils traveled to Macon to face #2 ranked Tattnall Square as 10 point underdogs. The Red Devils came away with a big 48-35 win.

Jack Kantner K/P (Fannin Co): 5/5 PATS, recovered onside kick, 5 touchbacks on kickoffs, 52 yard punt average, 29 yard run on fake punt for 1st down.

Bryson Sullivan K/P (LFO): 2 for 2 on extra points, 2 touchbacks, 5 punts for 41 yard avg.

Cass Colonel Trio

Devin Henderson: 129 total yards with 3 TDs (passing, rushing, and receiving)

Sacovie White: 199 yards total with 3 TDs

Shaun Nelson: 12 att. for 135 yards with 3 TDs

Dereon Pearson RB (Heard Co): The soph. had 15 att. for 115 yards and 2 TDs in 3 Quarters.

Jaylen Poe RB (North Paulding) 397 yards rushing, 416 total yards with 4 TDs

Harlem Diamond RB/DB (Cedartown): 16 att for 127 yards and 2 TDs. Added 5 TT on defense in Bulldog shutout of Sequoyah.

Tyson Greenwade RB (Dalton): 227 yards and 3 TDs. The Senior has 600 yards on 50 carries with 9 TDs through 2 games for the Catamounts.

Judson Petty ATH (North Murray) 150+ total yards with 3 TDs. TFL and FF on defense

Josiah Pope LB (Hiram) The 6’2 211 Soph had 7 TT and fumble recovery for the Hornets.

Out of our Area but earned a shout out:

Cooper Scott QB (Lumpkin Co): Has the Indians off to a 3-0 start for the 1st time in a decade.

Keegan Stover QB (Rabun Co): Threw 8 TDs passes in 72-36 win over Adairsville.

Offense Team of The Week

Cass Colonels: They put up 58 points in a win over Drew in their home opener.

Defensive Team(s) of The Week

Cedartown Bulldogs, Mt. Zion, Bowdon, Gilmer Co, and Heard Co all threw shutouts Friday.

Upset Team of The Week

Fannin County: The Rebels entered the game with Pickens as a 16 point underdogs. They jumped out to a 35-0 halftime lead eventually winning 38-12

Grayson Perry K (Armuchee): Hit a 40 yard FG in the closing minute as well as made a TD saving tackle on the ensuing kick off in a 17-14 win.

Jacob Seagraves WR/DB (Armuchee): 3 catches for 117 yards and 2 TD and added 6 TT in 17-14 upset of Gordon Lee.

Brent Washington LB (Rockmart): Had 15 TT with 2 sacks and 2 TFL in a 30-21 win over Cass.

Owen Brooker QB (NW Whitfield): 32 of 43 for 364 yards and 2 TDs. He added 26 yards rushing with a TD in a 35-31 win over Coahulla Creek.

Seth Griffin QB (North Murray): 400 yards passing and 200 yards rushing with 8 total TDs in a 54-50 win over Pickens.

Paul Gamble QB (Cartersville): 315 Total yards with 3 TDs in his 2nd varsity start with the Purple Hurricanes.

Eli Thomason Ath (Christian Heritage): Had 180 rushing and 70 yards passing with 3 TDs. He added 18 TT on defense in a 21-6 upset win at Temple.

Manny Dominguez WR (Coahulla Creek): Had 113 yards receiving with 3 TDs and had an interception in a 35-31 loss to AAAA NW Whitfield.

Kace Kinnamon QB (Coahulla Creek): 373 total yards with 3 TDs

Braylon Sullivan RB (Dade County): The 6’3 190 Jr. had 213 yards on just 14 attempts in a 50-13 win over North Sand Mtn.

D’Marion Floyd RB (Darlington): The Junior RB had 213 yards and 4 TDs in a win over Sonoraville. Had 120 yards and 2 TDs in the 1st Q alone.

Adairsville Tiger Trio:

Senior Chris Roper had 3 TDs and converted 2 2pt attempts, including the game winner.

Ethan Blome and Caden Copeland each had 2 long TDs apiece in a 51-50 overtime win vs Cherokee Bluff.

Offensive Team of The Week:

North Murray Mountaineers: 8 TDs for 54 points in a 54-50 win over Pickens.

Defensive Team of The Week:

Rome Wolves: Shutout Lithonia 49-0. The Wolves defense is only allowing 3 ppg through the 1st 2 weeks.

Upset Team of The Week:

Gilmer County Bobcats: Gilmer beat rival Fannin Co 49-35 as 19.5 point underdogs. The Bobcats move to 2-0 for the 1st time since 2011.

Tyson Greenwade RB (Dalton): 24 carries for 371 yards with 6 TDs and an interception.

Cam Vaughn QB (Temple): 270 yards on 18 carries with 6 TDs. Added 49 yards passing in the Tigers win over Pike Co.

Logan Eller RB (Trion): 207 yards on 20 carries with 5 TDs in the Bulldogs win over Gordon Lee.

Owen Brooker QB (NW Whitfield): Was 18 of 21 for 230 yards and 3 TDs. Added 2 rushing TDs in the Bruins win over Pepperell.

Khalas Finley RB (LaFayette): Had 19 carries for 257 yards and 5 TDs in the Rambers win over Chattooga.

Paul Gamble QB (Cartersville): Had 3 passing TDs in his 1st start for the Purple Hurricanes in a 35-0 win over Cherokee.

Harlem Diamond/Eli Barrow (Cedartown): Diamond scored 3 TDs, the last on a scoop of an onside kick attempt, Barrow had 21 TT in the win over cross town rival Rockmart.

Kace Kinnamon QB (Coahulla Creek): Was 14 of 15 passing for 169 yards and 2 TDs. Had 41 yards rushing with a TD in the Colts win over Murray Co.

Brody Cooper QB (Dade County): Was 15 of 26 passing for 207 yards and 2 touchdowns. He added 31 yards rushing and added a touchdown on the ground.

Offensive Team of The Week:

Carrollton Trojans: Racked up 69 points against Gadsden City on the road.

Defensive Team of The Week:

Rome Wolves: Held the #4 AAAAA Creekside to just 6 points.

Upset Team of The Week:

Bremen Blue Devils: Upset Heard Co 15-13 on the road. The Blue Devils entered the game as 13.5 point underdogs.
