2020: 4-4 (6th in 7AA)

2021 Outlook: Thanks to Coach Mathis for the review:

Returning starters at key positions on both sides of the ball and gained lots of experience. Year two in our program with a full year of weights and offseason work with coaches. Team chemistry and leadership is going to be a strength. Kids are working hard and a fun group to coach. Players to look out for on the offensive side of the ball are ‘23 QB Hayden McBurnett, along with Wing Backs ‘22 Dalton Denton and ‘23 DJ Hames. Up front we return 4 out of the 5 on the offensive line. The line is anchored down by ‘22 Deolis Millsap, accompanying Milsap on the line will be two in the class of ‘22 in Gage Cole and Knox Callen. Rounding out those three starters is ‘23 Aiden Morgan. Sleepers for Next season’s offense could be two lineman from the class of ‘22 in Tyler Hart and Omarion Moore.

On the defensive side of the ball we return some key players on a very good statistical defense. Anchoring up front will be two big guys in ‘22 Deolis Millsap and ‘22 Omarion Moore. Two guys that will step up in the stack Linebacker position are ‘22 Dalton Denton and ‘23 Andrew Holt. In the back end we return 3 veteran guys who only gave up 2 Touchdown passes all season. Those 3 are ‘23 DJ Hames, ‘23 Josh Dixon, and ‘23 Harley Brock. Sleepers for the season on defense are Linebackers ‘23 Mervin Wakefield and ‘22 Gage Cole.

Returning All-Region Players: Deolis Millsap – 1st team Defense DJ Hames – 2nd team Defense Gage Cole- 2nd team Offense Josh Dixon- HM Defense Aiden Morgan- HM Offense

NwGaFootball Take: The Eagles maybe a year away from a special season, a lot of 2023 guys getting experience this season. OL Deolis Millsap is a candidate for 7AA Offensive Lineman of the Year and if the offense gels together this offseason the defense is solid enough for the Eagles to compete with anyone in 7AA.

Prediction: 6th in 7AA (The Region is wide open in 21. Would not be at all surprised if they finished as high as 3rd)
