6AAA Report (10.5.21)
Last week saw Rockmart and Ringgold take steps toward a Week 10 showdown for the 6AAA Region Title. The final 2 playoff spots are still very much in doubt with a big game at Coahulla Creek this week. The Colts host Adairsville in a must win game if the Colts want to make the postseason for the 1st time in program history.

This Week:
Adairsville Tigers (2-1) at Coahulla Creek Colts (2-2):
What it means: Must win game for the upstart Colts. Senior RB Tyler Locklear rushed for 141 yards last week as the Colts held off Murray County and will need more of the same this week against a tough Tiger defense that held a high scoring Ringgold offense to just 24 points last Friday.
Adairsville played a classic last week losing in a close one 24-19 to Region leading Ringgold. The Tigers will have to avoid a letdown this week in a must win game if they want an opportunity to host a playoff game in November.

LaFayette Ramblers (2-1) at Ringgold Tigers (4-0):
What it means: The Ramblers currently sit in the 4th spot in the standings and could shake things up in 6AAA if they could knock off the Region leading Tigers. LaFayette has been solid on the defensive side of the ball, only allowing 12 pts a game, if they could force some turnovers this game could get interesting.
Ringgold clinches a playoff spot with a win. They have their eyes set on a bigger prize, a possible week 10 showdown with Rockmart for the Region Title. Coming off a tough game last week at Adairsville they will have to keep that intensity against a good Rambler squad to avoid a letdown.

Murray Co Indians (0-4) at Sonoraville Phoenix (1-2)
What it means: Sonoraville plays game 2 of 2 of the 2021 redemption tour. They had a tough 2 game stretch last season losing to both LFO and Murray Co. They took care of LFO last week and will have to do the same this week versus the Indians if they want to get back in the playoff hunt.
The Phoenix take care of business here they circle LaFayette and Adairsville as must win games to make the postseason.
Murray Co responded well last week after a rough game versus Ringgold. They took Coahulla Creek to the wire with SR ATH Taylor Carrell putting up 180 total yards to go along with an INT.

Rockmart Yellow Jackets (3-0) at LFO Warriors (0-4):
What it means: The Warriors have shown some life the last 2 weeks but face a tough task when they host the #10 Yellow Jackets this week. Rockmart is on track for another Region Title.
