Rushing Leaders:
Toby Maddux RB/LB(Trion): Rushed for a NW/W leading 1646 yards and added 250 receiving yards with 35 total TDs. Had 5 Ints on defense for the 10-0 Trion Bulldogs. Had 17 TT in the Region Title game v Darlington.
Landon Williams RB/LB (Dade Co): 1236 yards rushing for the work horse out of Dade Co. Had 59 TT with 16 TFL, 2 sacks and an Int on defense.
Kyler McGrinn QB (Bowdon): 1230 yards rushing and 1507 yards passing with 38 total TDs for the defending State Champion Red Devils. Accounted for 7 TDs last week v Mt. Zion in the Region Title game.
Adriel Hernandez RB/LB (Dalton): 1159 yards rushing for the Catamounts. Took over for the Areas leading rusher from ’22 Tyson Greenwade and didn’t miss a beat leading Dalton to the Region Title game in Week 10. Region 7-5A Co POY. Hard hitting LB.
Caden Williams RB (Calhoun): The Liberty commit had a solid year for the Yellow Jackets rushing for 1038 yards. Added 300 receiving yards with 14 total TDs.
Passing Leaders:
Trey Townsend QB (Calhoun): The 6’2 QB passed for 2225 yards with 26 TDs to just 4 ints.
Reece Fountain QB (Rome): Led the top offense in our Area with 2149 yards passing with 34 TDs on just 186 attempts. Set school record for career passing yards and TDs this season.
Jaxon Pate QB (Sonoraville): Dual threat QB that passed for 1892 yards and rushed for 820 yards with 20 total TDs for the Phoenix.
Sam Streicher QB (Pickens): Passed for 2064 yards and rushed for 252 yards with 27 total TDs.
Brady Chandler QB (Heritage): The Chattanooga State baseball commit quietly went about being a Top 5 senior passer with 1679 yards with 19 total TDs and leading Heritage to within 1 point of the Region Title.
Receiving Leaders:
Judson Petty ATH (North Murray) 1214 yards receiving. Had 2053 yards total offense with 27 TDs. Had at least one TD receiving, passing, rushing and added 3 defensive TDs. Set the State receiving record for most yards in a game. Averaged 9.8 TT on defense.
Sacovie White ATH (Cass) The UGA commit had 1101 yards receiving and was the 2023 Region 7-5A Athlete of the Year.
Javarius George ATH (North Paulding) Had 1457 all purpose yards with 1088 yards receiving on only 42 catches, nearly 25 yards per catch.
At Large Selections
Justin Terrell DL (Rome): Anchors a DL that has 5 shutouts and holds opponents to less than 7 PPG. The Wolve defense has only giving up one rushing TD on the season.
Devin Henderson ATH (Cass): The Region 7-5A POY in a Region loaded with talent. Can play any skill position of the field. All State DB headed to Liberty.
Brent Washington RB/LB (Rockmart): Game changer in 7AA. Efficient on offense with 700 yards on just 80 touches with 14 TDs. One of the the leading TFL leaders in the Area. Signature game in the Region Title game rushing 6 times for 118 yards with 3 TDs.
Jordan Beasley ATH (Bowdon): Had 1200 total yards with 14 TDs on just 111 touches. Added 2 Ints on defense.
Khristian Lando RB (Cartersville): Had 1000 yards total offense with 17 TDs. Kicked it in the final month of the season rushing for 487 yards and 8 TDs in the Canes final 3 Region games.
Ryan Strickland QB (Hiram): Efficient this season in leading one of the top offenses in our Area in 2023. Had 1300 yards total offense with 13 TDs to 1 Int. Had a signature game vs Calhoun passing for 247 and 2 TDs.
Jonathan Gough QB (Adairsville): 1800 total yards with 24 TDs leading the Tigers to their 2nd consecutive Region Title.
